About
Born in Toulon, in the south of France, Ilan moved to Paris at the age of 18. It was while working in the fashion image industry that he discovered set design, a discipline that quickly became a vocation. His practice is built around a curious eye for space and everyday objects, which he enjoys diverting and reworking. He pays particular attention to simple materials and ordinary forms, reinterpreting them to create singular visual worlds. This work takes place mainly within the fashion industry, spanning both still life and set design. After exploring different facets of this field, he fully committed to set design in 2022. Since the beginning of his career, Ilan has collaborated with photographers such as Ryan McGinley, Davit Giorgadze, Ed Martin, Mark Peckmezian, and François Quillacq. He currently lives and works in Paris.
